Telling people the waiter is hot is no more intimate or special than, say, a description of an incident in which your husband posted a photo online against your wishes. Or you posting your wedding videos. Or you putting your photo right up there under About Me, along with a description. Or longish posts containing your thoughts on a given topic . Wait, actually, it's LESS intimate. Haha so there. Seriously, I could see a twitter user saying they wouldn't start a blog, for the same reasons you gave for not wanting to tweet.
