Finally!

I am blogging from home! After months of scouring the market, I finally came to the conclusion that all wireless internet was either too expensive, or too inefficient. But because I am faced with no other option, (since there are no landlines in my area!) I had to get one of them. So this afternoon, I subscribed to Maxis Broadband!

So far, so good. averaging 3.6Mbps. Great for browsing so far. Although I don’t think I’d be streaming series or downloading movies anytime soon.

But it’s exhilarating to be able to  use the internet on my own desktop at home! Cause then, I can fully utilize my wireless ergonomic Microsoft keyboard and mouse!

Now I can blog all I want!

Of Desks and its Owners

I get bored really fast. Which is why in the course of choosing a theme for this blog, poor Baby had to change it close to eight times. I think more. I’ve decided to stick to this theme for a while though, as changing themes would not only trouble Baby, but change the dynamics of navigation and eye movement as well.

To keep it feeling fresh, I decided to change the stuff that is lying on my desktop in the banner above. Currently it’s on default of course, and doesn’t really reflect what is on my desk. I want it to show books that I am currently reading, as well as music I am listening to, and trinkets on my desk that I feel deserve their moment in the sun.

In compiling ideas on layout and content of the desktop, I stumbled upon another blog that I thought was very interesting. On my desk is a blog where designers and artists from around the world submit photos of their desks. An interesting concept, especially when one would always wonder what goes on behind the scenes.

I’ve always had a thing for desks. Which was why I LOVED Jk Rowling’s website.  It’s looking at the small things which tells a lot about it’s owner.

I shall have a lot of fun creating my own desktop graphics!

The Chameleon named Kamelia

Snail: “Gee, I thought it’ll be hard to find someone like me around here.”

Chameleon: “It isn’t so hard once you get the hang of it.”
